Many people encouraged her to continue this work and to publish an album. With the help of the Daphne Carrick Scholarship, awarded by the Brontë Society, she has been able to produce this present volume. There are over 130 photographs and maps. These are organised into chapters as follows. Chapter One contains photographs of the Pensionnat and its garden. In Chapter Five we have the churches that Charlotte would have known. Chapter Six is of other streets and sights. Chapter Seven gives some panoramas of the city, and some maps.
