Editing Elizabeth Gaskell: manuscripts and letters in the Brotherton Collection:
November 2015 marks the 150th anniversary of the death of author, biographer, humanitarian and campaigner, Elizabeth Gaskell.
Join Dr Shirley Foster, President of the Gaskell Society, to explore the Brotherton Collection's Gaskell manuscripts for insight into her life and work.
Dr Foster will talk about the how these literary manuscripts informed her work editing the Penguin edition of Sylvia's Lovers.
