A happy birthday to Branwell Brontë, born on a day like today in 1817.
If this was a true portrait ( and it seems to correspond with Joseph Leyland's medallion, except PBB has given himself more of a chin here ) ...then Branwell did indeed look different from his adult sisters as their noses did not come out that far and they had stronger chins
Actually this reminds me of the Rev Brontë's photo taken late in life where we can see his hands...it has.the same keen expression

I take that back. Now that I looked at the medallion again, the jaw is similar to his sisters ..but it is slight larger in the pencil portrait
