This is a blog about the Bronte Sisters, Charlotte, Emily and Anne. And their father Patrick, their mother Maria and their brother Branwell. About their pets, their friends, the parsonage (their house), Haworth the town in which they lived, the moors they loved so much, the Victorian era in which they lived.

Photos from the Red House Christmas event last weekend.
It's great to see the era's food displayed and in such a setting . In these cases one realizes there is almost as much connecting us to those in the past as there is making a distance between us ....for who's mouth does not also water at such a spread? lol
We today are far more use to such treats...we can have them or something like it whenever we wish... but somehow the specialness of this fare in the lives of those who have passed is brought to the fore in such a place as the Red House
