This is a blog about the Bronte Sisters, Charlotte, Emily and Anne. And their father Patrick, their mother Maria and their brother Branwell. About their pets, their friends, the parsonage (their house), Haworth the town in which they lived, the moors they loved so much, the Victorian era in which they lived.
It's an outrage of course, and even worse, it's stupid in a tourist village. But all UK civil services are facing insane cuts. Ten London fire stations were just closed for example .
I now know what is shown here, this store front next to the church, is the original post office...where the sisters mailed off their books etc.It is now a gift shop, but has the same counter in use today ...The current post office is across the street
